What Kind Of Men? - the new single.

Imagine if bombs started raining down on the UK, destroying homes, killing friends and family: wouldn't you try to find somewhere safe?
That is all the desperate people of Syria and Iraq are doing in their long, dangerous trek towards Europe and safety. Yet the people WE elected to run the EU have left no stone unturned in their efforts to turn them away.
Vladimir Putin decided the best way to end the refugee crisis was to launch and indiscriminate bombing campaign in which he killed hundreds of civilians and medical volunteers.
In the EU, nation after nation threw up huge fences to lock refugees out others just turned their backs.

When Morning Comes - John D. Lewis

Sometimes a song needs to see a little more of the light.  For When Morning Comes, that time arrived in 2013.  The song is about me, my Dad, and the day he left home in Thropton more than 50 years ago, about the physical journey he made ... and the emotional journey that I began that year.  I make no apology for the fact that - even all these years later - the song and the video are VERY personal.
The song was recorded and originally released on "Love & Hope" in 2009.

John D. Lewis.

The bodywork is a little rusty, but I like to think the bumps and scrapes add character.

One or two really bad smashes left their scars and, once or twice, my family told me it was a complete write off.
There have even been occasions when "friends" tried to run it off the road deliberately.
The old motor runs a little rough these days and I'd be lying if I didn't admit there are more miles on the clock than I'd like.
Yet now, after all these years, it's still going. It needs experts to tune it up, and a lot of tender loving care but it still goes.
Most important, it's mine: it's the only one I've got, and I wouldn't trade it for the world, even if I could.
Welcome to my life ... and my music.
